We build extensions, garden rooms, new builds, jetties and commercial buildings across the Lake District – and prepare the drawings and planning applications that get them approved.
What we can say without your story is how we work. Lakes Construction takes on the whole job – survey, drawings, planning, building and finishing – with one point of contact from the first visit to the handover.
We build for the Lake District as it is. That means local slate and stone where the house calls for it, lime on old walls that need to breathe, roofs and junctions detailed for a climate with a great deal of rain, and planning applications written for a National Park that cares how new building looks.
And we build for the people who live here. Many of our customers live in old houses that were never designed for modern kitchens or home offices, run holiday lets that have to be ready for the next booking, or own a stretch of shore with a jetty that has seen better days. The work changes from job to job; the care we take over it does not.
Our projects page shows jobs as sequences of photographs taken on site, from the first roof timbers to the finished building.
On planning, on budget and on programme – including when the answer is not the one you hoped for.
Slate, stone and timber that belong here, sourced to match the building.
Your home and your neighbours’ are respected while we are on it.
Snagged, signed off and handed over with the paperwork you need.
